Mangalore : MLC and BJP spokesperson Monappa Bhandary, said that in the upcoming election, BJP will contest in all seats at all levels.
Speaking at the press meet held at District BJP office on Feb 19, Tuesday, he said that out of 157 seats in all local bodies, BJP had contested for 109 seats and won 84 seats, including 35 seats in Mangalore City Corporation (MCC).
Stating on Moodbidri Town Municipal Council, he said that BJP had contested for 6 seats and won 4 seats. This election, BJP will not have alliances with any other party and will be contesting in all seats.
Speaking on BJP’s performance, Bhandary said that party’s local bodies have impressed the people and is confident of retaining its power in MCC.
He also said that a preparatory meet of the party was held on Monday in the presence of Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, MLAs, office bearers of the party and Morcha members. The candidates for election ticket will be selected on the basis of the majority party workers of each wards and the final list of candidates is expected to be out by February 22.
Criticising on the statement given by KJP leader Dhananjay Kumar on D V Sadananda Gowda is ridiculous. Even though BJP gave him respect and position, he left the party, but BJP has no problem with it. However, he must mind his own business before commenting issues which is not related to him.
