Sullia : MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said the ensuing assembly elections are a challenge to the BJP, and added the party would come out victorious.
Speaking at a party workers convention here on December 14, Friday, Nalin said it was not Yeddyurappa who built the party in the state. It were the efforts put in by the ordinary party workers that actually helped him become the chief minister, he said There were several leaders who helped in the growth of the party in the state, he informed and said Yeddyurappa himself has stabbed the party men on the back. The party has not stabbed Yeddyurappa on the back as alleged by him, Nalin said.
Though the BJP is facing challenges from the KJP, JD(S) and the Congress, the party will come out victorious, he said.
He said the BJP government has been successful in constructing Suvarna Saudha in Belgaum and has contributed a great deal toward the educational field and various other welfare works.
MLA and Deputy Speaker Yogish Bhat, MLC Monappa Bhandari, District BJP President Padmanabha Kottari, local BJP leaders including Gunavathi, Sumathi Narayana and Venkat Dambekodi, were also present.
