Mangaluru : The district BJP will hold strong protest against state government and its two ministers Ramanatha Rai and UT Khader, for filing fake cases without any proofs against Hindu leaders on recent communal clashes.
Addressing the press persons at the party office here, BJP district president Sanjeeva Matandoor said, it is a pre-planned stone pelting incident created in RSS activist Sharth Madivals funeral procession by some Kerala imported miscreants to disrupt peace in Bantwal.
The police have booked unnecessarily Satyajit Suratkal, Harish Poonja, Sharan Pumpwell, Murali and Pradeep under Sections 307, 147 and 307 of the IPC. There is a political motive behind this. The state government and district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai are behind filing of cases against Hindu leaders, he said.
There was a tense situation in Bantwal and although there is a 144 section, district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai organised party convention in Adyar.
