Kasargod : A young auto driver resident of Chumundikunnu at Pulikkadavu in Kasaragod district was allegedly stabbed to death at Panatthadi here on Wednesday June 25. 

The deceased has been identified as Arun Lal (22). His friend auto driver Biju (38) was seriously injured.

Sources said, Wednesday night Arun and Biju attended a function at Shivapura. When they returning home Jose asked a drop. Arun did not allow him because he was drunk.

As a result, Jose goes behind Arun on his friend’s bike. He intercepted Arun’s Auto and deadly stabbed him. Biju obstruct the attacking on Arun, he also stabbed.

Arun breathed his last on the way to hospital. Biju admitted to a private hospital.

BJP has called for a bandh in Panathadi panchayat area condemning the incident.

Rajapur station police have registered a case.
