Mangalore : The BJP Yuva Morcha has plans to make the city greener by planting more saplings. The tree planting campaign was launched at Nandigudda Circle on July 1, Sunday. The drive will continue in 38 wards of Mangalore City Corporation, informed Raghavendra Rao, City unit BJP Yuva Morcha president.
He promised that the Yuva Morcha will also nurture the planted saplings. On this occasion, he also did not to forget to make a mention of Jeeth Milan Roche who has planted more than 15,000 saplings in and around city and was present at the function.
District BJP President Padmanabha Kottari who was also present, said sapling planting programmes would be held on roadsides and school grounds to commemorate the birth anniversaries of Shyam Prasad Mukherjee and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya.
Several BJP and Yuva Morcha workers were present.
