Mangalore : In order to publicize the youth of the state with the social and political problems of the country, BJP Yuva Morcha will organise a massive ‘Youth Awareness Convention’ at Nehru Maidan on May 22 at 4 pm, said said Sunil Kumar, President, State BJP Yuva Morcha.
He was speaking at the press meet held at district BJP office on May 17, Thursday said that around 1 lakh youth are expected to participate in the event. The procession will commence from Jyothi Circle at 2 pm and convention will be held at Nehru Maidan from 4 pm, he informed.
He said that the convention will create awareness on issues such as union government’s stand on internal security, corruption, Chinese military threat, terrorism, and growing naxalism present in the state among the youths.
He also said that Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts have been listed out as the district for naxal activities. Naxal ideology is being disseminated in college campuses too, he said.
The Morcha has even invited Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujarat, Anurag Thakur, National President, BJP Yuva Morcha, Navjot Singh Siddhu, BJP MP, along with state leaders Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, Former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, Ananth Kumar, General Secretary, BJP, and K S Eshwarappa, State President, he said.
District Yuva Morcha president Kishore Shetty Puttur, BJP spokesperson Monappa Bhandary, Rajgopal Rai, Devdas Shetty, Nithin Kumar, Raj Gopal Rai and Raghavendra Rao and others were present.
