Mangaluru: MP and Congress national leader Mallikarjuna Kharge inaugurated the ‘Blasius D’Souza Road’ at Bendurwell on Saturday. From here onwards Balmatta – Bendurwell Road will be called as Blasius D’Souza Road.
Addressing the gathering Kharge said that when the Congress was in power it solved all the woes related to drinking water and and other water problems.
“The Prime Minister should intervene in Kalasa Bhanduri water woes, like Indira Gandhi did during her tenure to provide water to Chennai. According to the international law the PM will be held responsible for the woes related to drinking water,” he said.
He refused to give any proper statement on DySP Ganapthi suicide case. “The matter is left to CM and Home Minister. Discussions are going on in the assembly. I won’t comment anything,” he added.
