Mangalore:  Eight fishermen who had ventured into fishing in a trawler boat were lucky enough when local fishermen in other boats rescued them soon after their boat capsized in mid seas off the Ullal coast on August 20, Monday.

The mishap took place nearly 15 nautical miles off Ullal coast. The boat belonged to one Mohammad Sharief of Jeppu.

The boat had set sail for fishing last Friday and was on its return journey when it capsized. The total loss has been estimated at Rs 25 lakh.
