Kundapur: The bodies of all the four fishermen have been traced who were feared drowned after their boat capsized off the Koderi coast in Kirimanjeshwar on Sunday, were found on August 17, Monday.

The body of one fisherman was found on Monday morning.

The deceased are Shekhar Kharvi (39), Manjunath Kharvi (40), Lakshman Kharvi (34) and Naga Kharvi (55).

The ill-fated boat named Sagarashri with 11 fishermen on board had set out on fishing on Sunday. The boat had capsized after hitting a break-water and all fishermen fell into the sea. If the rest were rescued, the four were swept away by the tidal waves.

State Fisheries Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary offered condolences to the families of victims of the tragedy. The fisheries department will provide assistance to the kin of the deceased, he said in a Facebook post.
