Kasargod : The body of 15 year old Sonali Patel who was missing since August 27 has been found at the shores at Manjeshwar on the evening of September 3, Monday.

Sonali, daughter of Ashwin and Alfa Patel of Gujarat origin had reportedly jumped into the river from the old Panemangalore bridge. Sonali was a tenth standard student in Sudan School of Puttur.

The body was highly decomposed. Though Sonali and her brother and sister Pragathi and Sujal used to return  from school by autorickhaw, on August 27 Sonali had refused to come by an auto.

It is reported that Sonali was poor in Mathematics and was reprimanded by her teacher, which possibly might have forced her to take the extreme step.
