Mangalore : A new born baby boy was found dead in a river at Talapady on Thursday morning. Locals suspect that the mother of the baby abandoned it soon after birth.

Local residents who noticed the body of the baby floating in the river informed the panchayat members who  passed on information to the police.

Ullal police have taken the body of the child to the hospital for  post mortem. Police found some injury marks on the child’s body.There is no information regarding the parents of the baby. Investigations are underway.
