Mangaluru : Decomposed body parts were found at different places in a village near Puttur on Monday evening.

The Puttur Rural police said the head of the deceased person, which had been severed from the body, was found in a bag in the farm land of Vivekananda in Sarve village. Vivekanada discovered the bag when he had gone near the cow shed. The police searched the nearby areas and found another bag containing hands and legs in a forest area, three kilometres away from the farm house on Monday. On Tuesday morning the police found another bag in which the abdominal part had been kept. Superintendent of Police Sharanappa S.D said the person has been murdered a week ago.

The deceased person sported long hair. Mr. Sharanappa said whosoever has information of a long-haired person, who is missing since the last few days, can get in touch with Dakshina Kannada police by calling the control room 2220500 or other police officers.
