Mangalore : Bondala Jaganath Shetty (38), senior Congress Leader and member of youth congress, met with accident killing himself on the spot, at Melkar on July 31, Tuesday.

Bondala Jagannath Shetty, had dropped his driver and was on his way to his home, when suddenly a gas tanker which was moving from opposite direction, hit his car at Melkar, near Panemangluru leaving him injured.

Reportedly, he had also organised a press meet at District congress office on July 30, Monday held to support the victims of birthday party held at Padil

Bondal Jagannth Shetty was said to the power of District Youth Congress and always encouraged the youth into politics.  He was known for his selfless service.

Deceased is survived by his wife and a daughter.
