Mangalore : Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swami released the Kannada work Karnataka Srimad Bhuvaneshwari Kathamanjari, authored by Bandagadde Nagaraja at a special programme held at Town Hall on October 25, Monday.
The Kannada work by Bandagadde Nagaraja, a Sanskrit teacher at Ganapathi Pre-University College consists of 10,500 Bhamini ‘shatpadis’. He also released The Sanskrit work Panchakosha Vipanchika was written on yoga shastras in Taittriya Upanishad on the occasion.
While Veda Moorthy K Narayan Shastry Buchchan unveiled the second volumes of his two other Kannada works — Srimad Vishnupurana having 6,500 Bhamini ‘shatpadis’ and Srimad Ganesha Purana consisting 7,400 vardhaka “shatpadis” on the occasion.
MLA Yogesh Bhat presided over the function. Harikrshna Punaroor, president of Book Publisher Committee welcomed the guests and gathering. G K Bhat Seraje, general convener of the committee delivered the introductory speech.
Dr K Krishna Bhat, dean, Yogic Science Departmnet, Mangalore University., Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president, DK Kannada Sahitya Parishath, Tekkere Subramanya Bhat and others were present on the dais.
