Bengaluru: “BPL card holders should not be income tax payers and they should not have more than 2.50 lakh amount in their account,” said food and civil supplies Minister U T Khader.
Addressing the press personnel at Bengaluru on Thursday, he said that BPL card holders of urban area should not have their own house and own car. If any BPL card holder comes under income tax limits then the BPL card will be cancelled immediately.
“Along with cancellation of BPL card, the family will be kept away from all the governmental schemes. So, the BPL card holders should be aware of it. This rule has been imposed to stop the black money holders from crediting money in BPL card holders account,” he said.
