Mangalore: The 5 day Brahma Baidarkala Garodi Jatra in Kankanady was held in the presence of lakhs of Tulu devotees with grate fervour and devotion. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, state ministers Vinaya Kumar Sorake and U T Khader, South City MLA J R Lobo,
BJP leader Shrikar Prabhu and local corporators took part in the 5 day Jatra that started on Dec. 16 and ended on Dec. 20, amid Daiva Nema and Kola to twins Koti Chennaya and other gods of Tulunadu.
The well attended devotional programs at the Tuluva temple (Garodi) provided lot of opportunities to the rural peoples to show their affection and devotion to the gods they prayed for and worshipped for 5 days.
On the first day of the festival, devotional musical play ‘Amar Bollilu’ was staged by city’s well-known troupe Chakrapani Nrithya Sangeetha Kala Kendra, Attavar, headed by Suresh Master Attavar.
Bajrang Dal, Pumpwell unit organized a comedy show and a variety of dance events at Pumpwell as part of the festival.
