Kundapura: Several religious Vedic ceremonies, such as 1 lac Modak offerings, 1000 coconut Ganayaga, a mega Car Festival etc., would be held between February 19 and 25 at Kumbhashi Anegudde Vinayaka Temple, said Dharmadarshi K.S. Upadhyaya, a hereditary administrator here.
He met pressmen in Kundapura on Monday, to provide information.
He told reporters that the holy shrine had conducted annual festivals to fulfill the wishes of devotees in the region, since decades. In 1991, a Brahmakalashotsava had been conducted.
Although this major religious festival has to be undertaken once in 12 years, it was decided now after 20 years, to conduct it again for public Welfare of innumerous devotees. All preliminary arrangements are being made with the active Co-operation of donors and devotees, he said.
On February 17, people around the temple bring heavy offerings of materials for public feast. A reception Committee has been formed for the purpose, with HK Punarooru in the chair, the Trustee informed.
