Mangalore : The Installation Brahmakalashotsava and Asta Pavithra Nagamandalotsava of Guruvana Sri Durga Kshethra, Kadekar Mallikarjuna Temple at Jeppinamogaru will be held from May 8 to May 18.
Speaking at the press meet held at the temple premises on April 25, Monday District in charge minister and honorary president of Brahmakalashotsava Committee Krishna J Palemar said that the temple will be constructed in between the greenery to give importance to the nature.
He also said that the temple will also give importance to safeguard wild life and support the ban on Plastic bags.
The jnana mandir and hall will also be established in the premises for the use of devotees. During the religious ceremony each ministers will participate in the cultural function and the chief guest Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will participate on the last day of the function, he added.
K C Naik, committee president said that Sri Narendranatha Yogishwareshwara Swamiji and Smt Shakuntala Narendranath, Sri Guru Parashakthi Mutt, Marakada will inaugurate the ceremony in the Ugrana Muhurat on May 6, Friday on 9:30 am. The horekanike and procession will be received at the temple on May 7, Saturday at 3:30 from Mahaveer Circle ( Pumpwell), Suratkal, Madyar and Thokkottu.
On May 8, Sunday at 6 pm arrival of priests and mass prayer and various oblation like Vasthu Homa and Rakshogna and other Puja’s.
On May 11, Wednesday the installation of Serphant God (Naga) at new Nagamantapa will be held at 6 am. Honarary minister for Panchayath Raj and Rural Development Department, State Government will inaugurate the religious meet at 6 pm. Minister for Law and Justice M Veerappa Moily will inaugurate the lgods lake ‘Pushkarani’. Sri Narendranatha Yogishwareshwara Swamiji will deliver the benedictory speech on the occasion.
Bheemeshwara, managing trustee of Annanpoorneshwari Temple, Hornadu will preside over the religious function on May 1, Thursday. Bhargavi Dance Troupe, Udupi will present the cultural programme at 8 pm.
On May 13, Friday there will be saints meet from 4 pm to 8 pm. Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt will preside over the event. Sri Vidyabhushana, Bangalore will present the devotional songs.
Brahmashri Kuntaru Ravish Tantri, Adhur, Kasargod will preside over the event on May 14, Saturday. Flautist Praveen Godkindi and troupe will present the fusion music.
Dr V S Acharya, higher education minister will participate as the chief guest on May 15, Sunday. Pandit Venkatesh Kumar, Dharwad will present the Hindutani and devotional music.
On May 16, The brahmakashotsava will be held at morning and the folk dance of West Bengal ‘purulia Chao’ will be staged as a part of cultural programme at 8 pm.
On May 18, Wednesday Asta Pavithra Nagamandalotsava will be held at 9:30 am and CM B S Yeddyurappa will preside over the religious event. The patriotic dance performance ‘Rastradevobhava’ will be staged on 8 am.
Sri Narendranatha Yogishwareshwara Swamiji, Marakada Mutt, Yogesh Kumar Jeppu, president of the committee and others were present.
