Mangalore: A new Hyundai car traveling at full speed from Hosangadi to Kundapur on Thursday, with driver, owner and a passenger seated in it lost control rammed in to a tree by the road side and fell in to a drain, just before a school nearby was allowing children to go home after classes.

Thus a bigger tragedy was averted and driver Anup (24) and owner Mitesh Acharya (24) were badly hurt, while the third passenger Pavan (23), seated at the back escaped with minor injuries.

Witnesses and locals who saw the crash helped the two injured young men to a Koteshwar private hospital near Kundapur. The third person was treated for shock.

The new car is totally ruined due to the impact of hitting the tree and rolling down to the drain near the highway.
