Mangalore: With just 3 weeks left for the 17th National Youth Festival starting January 12, 2012 upto 16th Jan 2012, preparations for the mega event are briskly held in city at the vast Mangala Stadium, thoroughly renovated for athletic and other sports events, under the direct supervision of Dakshina Kannada district incharge and Ports minister Krishna J. Palemar, who went round the place on Monday.
He watched the infrastructural work at the place where inaugural and other programmes are likely to be conducted next month. He was accompanied by Ullal MLA U.T. Khader (Congress) and District Administrator Dr. N.S. Channappa Gowda, who took Keen interest in the preparatory work leading to inaugurals at the venue.
Palemar also had a meeting at the Dakshina Kannada ZPO earlier, with his officials and peoples representatives, when city MLA N. Yogish Bhat, Zilla Panchayat chief K.T. Shailaja Bhat Dr. K.N. Vijay Prakash were present to hold discussions on Yuvajanotsava.
