Bantwal : Brother of a rowdy sheeter was found killed at Netharekere near Maripalla in Bantwal taluk on August 10, Sunday.

The deceased is identified as 25-year-old Rifayee, bother of Thouseef who was arrested in connection with the murder case of rowdy sheeter Naushad on June 21, 2014.

It is learnt that, some unidentified people had booked autorickshaw belonging to Rifayee, a resident of Maripalla, but never returned on August 9. When his family and friends went in search of him, his auto was found near Netherekere while for Rifayee was missing.

While on August 10, his body was found near a rivulet in Netherekere.

According to the police, the murder may be the act of revenge. The gang might have killed Rifayee since he was brother of Thouseef.
It may be recalled that, seven assailants, who came in a four-wheeler attacked Naushad with swords and sickle, in Maripalla near Farangipete.
