Bengaluru: If sources are to be believed, BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa is likely take disciplinary action against KS Eshwarappa as he is said to be working with his fraction within the party, ‘Sangolli Rayanna Brigade,’ established with the objective of unifying dalits within the party and state.
Sources say that BS Yeddyurappa is thinking on dismissing KS Eshwarappa from the opposition leader’s position in the Vidhana Parishad in an attempt to limit his activities within the party and state. Yeddyurappa is likely to take action despite the fact that it would be difficult as Eshwarappa is said to be a powerful opposition leader. However, sources say that Yeddyurappa might wait till the sessions of the Vidhana Sabha and Parishad end to impose restrictions on Eshwarappa.
Meanwhile, it is said that Eshwarappa held a meeting of Sangolli Rayanna Brigade on Sunday in the state capital. An oath taking ceremony of the brigade conveners is expected to be held at Nanda Ghada in Khanapur taluk, Belagavi. The brigade also plans on hosting a conference at Kudala Sangama on January 26 next year.
