Puttur: A Bullet tanker carrying LPG gas overturned near Neerakatte on Tuesday. Panic situation was caused at the spot and due to the timely response from fire personnel the danger was averted.

A tanker which was plying from Mangaluru to Bengaluru moved off the road and overturned after the driver lost control over the tanker. Due to the incident the gas started to leak from the tanker in a small quantity.

Fire brigade rushed to the spot and stopped the leakage of the gas as soon as they reached. Police have ordered not to use the mobile phones near the accident place and have urged to take certain precautionary measures. Electricity to the nearby places has been shut down.
