Mangaluru : The 342-metre long road between Bunts Hostel Junction and Ambedkar (Jyothi) Circle upgraded with concrete was opened for traffic on Monday February 23 evening.
The Mangaluru City Corporation has upgraded this road at an estimated cost of Rs. 2.19 crore. Work was launched in November 2014.
District in-charge Minister Ramanath Rai Inaugurated the new concrete by cutting the ribbon. Speaking on occasion he said that, Most of the roads in the city are already concreted . Rs 100 crore granted for City road development works. Bunts Hostel to Jyothi road heavy traffic movement in city, he added.
Mayor Mahabala Maarla, MLA J R Lobo, Corporator A C Vinayraj, MCC commissioner Hephsiba Rani Korlapati, deputy mayor Kavita, Asha D’Silva, Sabitha Misquith, Praveen Chandra Alva, and others were present.
