Bantwal: A teenager was killed after a bus hit a motor bike near Siddakatte on January 23.

The deceased has been identified as Avinash, aged 17. He was a resident of Shettibettu. His father, Ramesh Achraya suffers from chronic illness. The family was poor and Avinash used to do wood carvings.

On Tuesday, Avinash was going home seated in the pillion of a motor bike while a private bus hits the vehicle from behind. Avinash fell down from the bike and sustained severe injuries. He was immediately taken to the government hospital but succumbed to the injuries.
