Udupi :  A bus operating on the Perdoor Brahmavar route overturned near Soorebettu in Cherkady village of Brahmavar on Wedneday morning, injuring nearly 24 passengers. Several of the injured were school children.

The mishap is learnt to have occurred after the driver lost control over the vehicle and applied a sudden brake. Luckily none of the passengers were seriously hurt. Several locals rushed to the help of the injured and admitted them to hospitals.

Brahmavar police have registered a case.
