Mangaluru: Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil has informed that buses will be allowed to ply via Shiradi Ghat from Wednesday onwards.

Speaking to reporters on October 1, Monday, the Deputy Commissioner said of the 12 land slip sites at Shiradi Ghat there is no danger in eight places, while policemen will be deployed at the other four places which are likely to pose danger.

He said talks have also been held with Hassan Deputy Commissioner and Dakshina Kannada SP with regard to allowing buses through the Ghat road.

The DC also stated that a decision would be taken in another couple of weeks regarding allowing other heavy vehicles on the ghat road.
