Mangalore : The Beary’s Welfare Association, which is based in Bangalore, distributed scholarships among Beary student achievers at Jamiyyatul Falah Hall in Mangalore on September 8, Saturday.
Addressing the gathering, Vinay Kumar Sorake, secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), spoke on the role of education in eradicating poverty. He also urged adults to encourage the youth to take up IAS, law, MBA, and IPS.
MLA U. T. Khader said that parents must ensure that their children won’t live in poverty. He urged parents to trust their children as it is the children who take care of parents in their tough times.T. N. S. Murthy, deputy chairman of New Mangalore Port Trust, said that everybody should have the urge to achieve something.
Expert Institute Founder S. S. Nayak advised students to pursue their dreams.Scholarships were distributed among 100 Beary students, majority of them girls.
