Kundapur:  BY Raghavendra, Shimoga MP and son of former CM BS Yeddyurappa met former Kundapur MLA Halady Srinivas Shetty on August 27, Wednesday.

Later, speaking to reporters, he exuded confidence that Halady would remain in the BJP. Raghavendra was also all praise for Halady and his works to build the party in the region. He said this was his third meeting with Halady while on the earlier two occasions; he had met him with his father Yeddyurappa.

On the farm loan waiver scheme of the state government, he said the Karnataka government was doing its bid to mitigate the problems of farmers due to drought and hoped even the Centre comes to the aid of farmers by waiving off loans from nationalized banks.

Laxminarayan, MLA from Byndoor, Shankar Shetty, President Taluk Panchayat, Pranay Kumar Shetty, President Byndoor  BJP and others were present.
