Bantwal: In a tragic accident two people have lost their lives and six people have been sustained with injuries after a moving car fell into a trench at Ukkuda near Vittal on Monday.

Suleman Haji (60) and Shehzan of three months old child have been identified as deceased persons.

The incident took place while the family was moving a Maruti Alto car to attend a function at Punacha. It is reported that the driver lost control over the car and hit the trench.

Suleman and Shehzan breathed their last on the way to the hospital and four injured people are being treated in the hospital.

A case has been registered at Vittal police station.
