Mangaluru :  An unidentified assailant snatched the gold chain of a woman by spraying liquid on her eye during broad daylight near the Kuntikan bus stop on September 18, Friday.

The woman named Vinoda (60) was returning home after visiting a post office.

the assailant who was driving a car came close by her and began talking to her and suddenly sprayed some liquid and fled from the spot with her chian.

It is learnt, driver enquired about her family and health.

The shocked woman began crying loudly and locals rushed to her help and informed the Kavoor Police.

The stolen gold chain weighed around 32 grams. Kavoor police have registered a case and investigation is on to trace the culprit.
