Mangalore : There is D R Bendre, Kuvempu and other scholars present in every person, but they must realize it, said Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president, Dakashina Kannada District Kannada Sahitya Parishat.
He was speaking after inaugurating the singing programme organized by DK District Kannada Sahitya Parishat in association with Kannada Sahitya and Sankriti Sangha on the occasion of ‘D R Bendre Anusandhana and Bendre Namana’ at Government College, Car street on July 24, Saturday.
He also said that, around 98 percent of the people are still present in the philosophy and the programme like this has made to realize the matter.
He urged the students to bring out their good qualities present in them in the society, through the environment and society they have grown.
The English and computer education is important in the present life, but with must not lose our self completely but neglecting our culture, he added.
Though every people have different mother tongue, one must not forget to respect Kannada and must feel proud to converse it. We should try to protect our mother tongue, but must identify our self as Kannadigas.
The students of various schools recited the song of D R Bandre on the occasion.
