Kasargod: The police have recorded a non-bailable case on April 30 against Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Sadhvi Balika Sarawathi for purportedly making an inflammatory speech at the Hindu Samajotsava held in Badiyadka.
The case has been enrolled against Balika Saraswathi, a local of Madhya Pradesh for professedly making provocative speech. Police have charged her of harming religious opinions and inducing communal violence.
Following her controversial speech, a few associations had asked for the police to act against her and presented a complaint to the Superintendent of Police (SP). Badiyadka Police enlisted a case in light of the directions issued by the SP.
