Bangalore: A delegation of the All Karnataka Catholic Christians Kannada Association has submitted a memorandum to the three member Bishops’ Commission appointed by the Pope seeking implementation of a uniform language policy for all Catholic churches in the state.
The delegation met the Bishops of Guwahati, Pune and Mumbai who arrived in Bangalore and requested that the demand of some churches to allow them to offer prayers and masses in other languages should not be heeded to when most of the churches are conducting prayers and other rituals in Kannada itself.
The Bishops’ delegation is learnt to have assured to bring the request to the notice of the Pope.
