Mangalore : A cow and a calf belongs to Ganesh Vasudev Malya has been stolen in the tulasi katte desecrated with cow parts in someshwar near Uchil.

The incident came to light when Ganesh’s wife saw cow parts in tulasi katte and starting searching for the cattle. The police were informed but they took little interest in the matter. The local MLA UT Khadar visited the house and urged the law enforcing authorities to take up the matter. Police registered a case of theft but not allowed media to record the event.

The locals blame police apathy for the thefts going on in the surrounding area and urged to intensify the night beat.
