Mangalore: The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike staged a protest in front of the DC office in Mangalore on Thursday seeking justice to Karnataka in t eh Cauvery river water dispute.

Addressing the agitators,ai Dr Annah Kulal, Honorary Advisor of the Vedike said the state political leaders had failed in bringing the facts about Cauvery to the notice of the Union Government as well as the Cauvery River authority.

He also accused the state leaders of fighting merely for the sake of chair and power instead of protecting the interests of the state.

Rajesh Kunder, Honorary President of the Vedike, Jagadish Shetty, Working President,  George PV, Nazeer Hussain and others took part in the protest.
