Mangaluru: Accused of rowdy-sheeter Charan murder, were nabbed by City Crime Branch (CCB). CCB police have arrested five persons in connection with the murder.

Arrested persons are identified as Muhammad Rizwan (28) of Moodushedde Shivanagara, Muhammad Raheef (19) of Vamanjur, Muhammad Shah Rukh (20) of Moodushedde, Muhammad Musthafa (19) of Moodushedde and Nawaz (23) of Gurpur.

Accused were nabbed by the police on Tuesday, near the old toll gate at Panemangalore, BC Road. There was a enmity between Rizwan and Charan since so many years. To settle the older enmity this attack was planned, said police.

Raheef is facing a bike theft case registered at Mangaluru north police station and Rizwan is facing a robbery case in Kollur.

Charan was attacked by five member team near Vamanjoor junction in broad day light. His wife and child were present in the auto in which he was travelling. When Charan started running from the spot, attackers chased him and hacked him to death with lethal weapons.

The CCB team was led by CCB Inspector Sunil Y Naik, and SI Shyamsundar.
