Mangalore : City Crime Branch has a new inspector. Valentine D’Souza, Karkala circle inspector, has been transferred to the CCB and he will take charge as CCB inspector on September 29 from Venkatesh Prasanna, the outgoing CCB inspector.

Valentine D’Souza is from Sagar in Shimoga district. He is an IPS officer of 1994 batch. He has been the SI in Udupi, Kota, Honnavar, Bhatkal stations and as circle inspector in Bantwal, Terikere, Kundapur, Panambur and Karkala stations. He even worked as DCIB inspector of Chikmagalur.

He was a body builder during his student days and has won several awards. He has also won

Shri Shivappa Nayak Award and Shri Pulkeshi award among others.
