Mangaluru: The CCB police arrested one person on Friday for his involvement in a plot to commit a murder at Faisalnagar; the police seized a dragon knife from his possession.

The accused, identified as Talhat(28), who was involved in several cases of murder, attempt to murder and communal violence, but he had been absent through several trials. About fifteen cases related to anti-social activities and communal riots were registered against him.

It is said that he formed a group at Faisalnagar to initiate communal violence by assault and destruction of public property. Sources say that he was also involved in the murders of Kannur Abdul Rahiman in 2011 and the Manager of Kanchan Textiles in 2012.

Tallath was handed over to Mangaluru rural police for further action.
