Mangalore : The city crime branch police (CCB)have arrested Imtiyaz Ahmed (30) resident of Valachil, Farangipete on Saturday, June 15 for selling Ganja at college premises.

The CCB police team led by Valentine D’Souza conducted a ride at the bus stop located near Srinivas College in Pdavu, Valachil and seized 1.5 kg ganja and Bajaj Discovery bike from the accused.

As per information received by the police that two persons would be coming by bike to sell ganja for students.

The accused Imthiyaz arrested at spot. His accomplice managed to escape.

The Police sources said, he was selling each packet at Rs 100. The Police also seized Rs 3,400 cash, two mobile phones.

According to the directions of R.Hithendra, commissioner, Mangalore City and Dr.K.V.Jagadish, deputy inspector, Law and Order and Vishnuvardhan N,sub inspector,  Shyamsundar, PSI and other police personnel Shasidar Shetty, Ganesh M.P, Ganesh Kalladka, Venugopal Amai, Chandrashekar, Dinesh Bekal, Rajendra Prasad, Abdul Jabbar, Sudhir Shetty, Mani M.N. and driver Tejakumar conducted the raid operation.
