Mangalore : CCB police successfully arrested close aide of underworld don Vicky Shetty along with three other aides on August 26, Tuesday, said Police commissioner R Hitendra.

Speaking at the press meet at Police commissionerate office, he said that the officials have sized a pistol, three bullets, a knife, a machete, mobile phones and a Nano car from the arrested.

The arrested have been identified as Rohidas alias Sharan alias Akash Bhavan Sharan(29), Sachin (30) from Puttur, Pavitra Kumar alias Pavi (26) from Kavoor, and Harsha Raj alias Harshit (22) from Kulshekar. It is said that, Rohidas is accused of killing Ramakrishna A S, administrative officer of KVG College.

On getting the information, CCB police arrested the four notorious killers on Bondel-Pachanady over bridge, when they were planning for another crime. The other two managed to escape from the spot, he added.

Sharan is accused of raping and robbing an elderly woman at Yekkur, murder of auto driver Farooq and 15 other cases. He was also arrested in killing of KVG College administrative officer Ramakrishna A S and released on bail.

He had also murdered Kavoor resident Kumar with the help of Santosh alias Santu, Gowrish alias Gowri, Gautam, Akshay and Harshit.

Commissioner Prashant alias Pachu, manager of Sri Adhinatheshwara Roadlines was killed near Mangala bar in Valencia by Sharan and Vicky Shetty aides.

Police commissioner R Hitendra, DCP Dr K V Jagadish, DCP Vishnuvardhan, CCB inspector Valentine D’Souza, ASI Shyamsunder along with other constables Shashidhar Shetty, Ganesh M P, Ganesh Kalladka, Venugopal, Chandrashekar, Dinesh Bekal, Abdul Jabbar, Rajendraprasad, Mani M N, Sudhir Shetty and driver Tejakumar participated in the arrest operation.
