Mangalore : Mayor Praveen said that CCTVs will be installed in all the offices of MCC to ensure transparency in all the day-to-day activities apart from his chamber.
Speaking at the press meet held at his chamber at MCC on October 19, Wednesday, he said that the projects related construction of storm water drains and footpaths near concretized roads, will be completed within 6 months at an estimated cost of Rs. 25 crore.
He said that, the each ward has received Rs. 25 lakh for road repair. The KPT to Mangalore Airport stretch has been renamed as Sir M. Visveshwarayya Road and efforts will be made to rise to international standards.
The foundation stone will be laid for the new inter-district bus station at Pumpwell at the cost of Rs. 1 crore.
Ten ponds in the city coming under the jurisdiction of the MCC will be developed at the cost of Rs. 224.5 lakh.
He also distributed cash prizes among young achievers of special Olympics like Anil, Royston, and Dhanya on the occasion.
Dr. K. Harish Kumar, the MCC commissioner, and Geeta Nayak, the deputy mayor, were also present.
