Mangaluru: “The Central government should form a separate board for arecanut farmers,” urged Chief Whip Ivan D’Souza.

Addressing the press reporters on Wednesday, he said that he had asked a question regarding this as soon as he became MLC and based on his question his question a report of experts has been received.

“The Central and state governments should include this factor in 2017-18 budget and a sum of money should be allotted for the board. The head office of the board should be constituted in Dakshina Kannada,” he said.
