Mangalore : The World Economic Forum has selected Panama Mining Industries Corp Ltd, for its potential Growth prospect great to be present among one of the selected companies in the present year, said Vivek Raj, CEO of Panama Group.
Speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Ocean Pearl on September 9, Thursday he also said that on September 13th to 15th World Economic Forum will be present its new class of Technology Pioneers during Summer Davos in China. It is the World’s most powerful organisation which decides policy for World Class Corporate Governance for the entire world, he added.
The benchmark for selecting a company is minimum US$ 100 million (450 crores) in recognition of top business pioneers it has selected and invited me for the Annual Meeting of new champions in Tainjin, China he informed.
The Forum selects few companies throughout the world as Global Growth Company, considering their performance and turnover. This year apart from Panama Mining Industries, the companies like Pepsi, Airbus, M & M, Infosys, Reliance and other companies will be present in the Forum.
Vivek Raj is the youngest CEO in the world in Global Growth Company Community at just 28 years of age with an excellent turnover, but usually people will be positioned as CEO at the age of 45 he said.
Mr Vivek Raj also said that further he will be scheduled to meet Chief Minister of Karnataka B S Yeddyurappa, CEO of Sinosteel, Queen of Jordan, CEO of Nestle and Chinese premier who will inaugurate Davos.
He also said that in next couple of years his group would like to help the public through donation to charity homes and hospitals. It feels good standing at the top most position, he added.
The Panama Group will also set a new plant at Hosadurga with the first investment of Rs 4o crore for one million ton per annum, he stated.
He stated that ‘There are some companies which follow the scale of excellence and there are some who always set a new one’.
