Mangaluru: The Common Entrance Test for admission to engineering and other professional courses has commenced across 26 centres in Dakshina Kannada district as elsewhere in the city on April 18, Wednesday amid strict vigil. If Biology Test was held in the morning, Mathematics Test is being held in the afternoon. CET for other subjects will be held on April 19.
As many as 14,448 students from the district are appearing for the CET in the district. A total of 6,336 students are appearing for the test in 13 centres in Mangaluru. There are eight centres in Moodbidri and two centres in Ujire and three centres in Udupi.
This year there has been one more addition to the CET centres compared to the 25 centres last year. This year Ramakrishna College in Mangaluru is also a CET centre where the test is being held.
As many as 1,98,639 students are appearing for the CET across the state.
