Mangaluru: Campus Front of India (CFI) staged protest against Milagres College for not issuing hall ticket to 22 students, in front of the college on Thursday.
As per the protestors’ version, parents of 22 students are coming to the college everyday from past seven days to meet the principal regarding the denial of the hall ticket. But they were not allowed to meet the principal. So, the students are protesting as they are concerned about their parents.
They further said that the 22 members who haven’t received the hall ticket belong to same community. Initially the list of students has reached 90 names and later everybody received their hall tickets except these 22 students.
Later Bunder Police Inspector Shantharam Kunder arrived at the spot and brought the dither situation under control.
As per the college management sources all the parents were called to meet the college staff in PTA meeting, in which it was clearly said that the students should follow the university norms to receive the hall ticket or else no hall ticket will be issued.
