Mangalore : The Campus Front of India has urged the government to go back on its decision to ban Students Council elections in colleges all over the state.
Speaking to media on August 2, Friday, Iqbal Bellare, State President of the CFI said the decision would hamper the democratic process of elections in the colleges and will also hinder the development of leadership qualities in youth. He also pointed out that several great national leaders were student union leaders in the past. He said the government by doing so was only not allowing students to develop leadership qualities. He also said the CFI would launch a protest if the government fails to heed to its plea.
The CFI has submitted appeals in this regard to the Chief Minister and Education Minister.
CFI office bearers Mohammad Tafseer, Mohammad Imran and others were present.
