Mangalore: On Wednesday night the Mangalore city had a 15 minutes spell of strong rains hitting Bandar,  Car Street, Kadri and Balmata areas and else were in the port city. The temperature being warm, the people had a relief due to sudden lashing of fast rains all over the area. The rains had come even in the early morning on Thursday creating a dull atmosphere and upsetting the people sleeping in the open in various places.

November is a time when Chennai city in the East only gets rains for a few days in the year to fill up its three or four reservoirs in the great city. Chennai is in line with Bangalore and Mangalore in south India. So, the rains in Chennai have in effect on Mangalore to. Hence the sharp rains unexpectedly felt by citizens in November here, after a long Monsoon of 5 months and a break of 15 days.
