Mangaluru : A chain snatcher who snatched the chain of a woman at Bagambila road in near Deralakatte was apprehended by the police within three hours of the incident on November 6, Friday.

The arrested person is Sultan (28), an employee at a hotel in Derlakatte.

He had snatched the chain of a woman named Nisha who was returning home from work on Friday evening. Sultan who was in his bullet bike snatched the chain from behind. The incident was captured in a CCTV camera and based on the footage the police who immediately swung into action arrested the accused when he was about to enter a bar. The swift action of the Ullal cops in this case has won a lot of praise.
