Bangalore: D.B. Chandregowda, a potential CM candidate at one time in congress, crossing even to BJP, had become MP from Bangalore and a former speaker as well, is under the direct vigilance of Karnataka High Court this week, for a case of ‘ contempt of court’ which the court has registered on its own against him.
Unwise Chandregowda talked loosely like a brat, against the special court of Lokayukta, on its verdict in the case of illegal denotification made by ex-CM Yeddyurappa, and as the lather’s application (for bail) was rejection then by LA court.
Chandregowda had joked that the court verdict was decided in Raj Bhawan (Governar`s residences).
This malicious statement of Chandregowda was taken up by Justice N.K. Sudheendra Rao before High Court Registrar in a letter subsequently, which caught the eye of high Court that ordered the MP to reply within 30 days to its legal notice for his joke.
In a similar case taken up by Kerala high Court against its own judges, a Kerala MP had been sent to jail for contempt of court will Chandregowda visit Parappana Agrahara as a guest new?
